Capt. Tala Hooban, deputy director of Administration for Children and Families, Office of Head Start, celebrated Head Start Awareness Month in October with a visit to two MARC Head Start locations in the Kansas City region.
Hooban toured Cub Care in Blue Springs, Missouri, and Three Trails in Raytown, Missouri. She engaged with students and talked with staff about services provided to families and staffing needs.
MARC manages 17 Head Start facilities in Clay, Jackson and Platte counties in Missouri. The mission of MARC Head Start is to advance young children’s development and learning through effective program administration, community collaboration and family engagement.
