
Professional Development and Growth
Head Start works to provide high-quality learning opportunities for children and families. To provide the best educational opportunities, MARC Head Start staff collaborates with direct service providers in identifying the training needs of all staff to ensure their continuous development and growth. All staff receive a minimum of 15 clock hours of training focused on gaining knowledge and skills related to their job performance.
All direct service providers submit an annual training plan to meet the developmental needs of staff, parents and volunteers. Tier 1 & 2 direct service providers work with their MARC Head Start Quality Assurance Coordinator to complete the training plan document provided by MARC Head Start by June 1. Tier 3 direct service providers complete, in coordination with their content area specialists, a training plan document provided by MARC Head Start and submit by July 1.
